Subject: Water temp in Lake Erie
Hi, I'm considering the 9/11 Great Lakes Oly, but am really worried a bout a cold swim after my experience in May getting covered with Hives during the swim due to the cold water. (It's an allergic reaction called, among all things, "Cold Water Urticaria".)

Anyone know, or know where I can find, the water temperature for Lake Erie?

I'm racing in Lake Erie this weekend, water temp here is 75 degrees.

Oh, thanks. THere seem to be two different maps, on the upper one, temps near cleveland are 34 degrees. On the lower one, temps near cleveland are 75 degrees. I'll just stick with 75 F!

Anyone know offhand what the cutoff for wearing wetsuits is?
