Ran this trying to keep up with Irene. She's a fast 9-year old who runs effortlessly. Crowded, narrow course that was not well seeded which made it really difficult to weave in and out, passing people. Once we crossed the starting line, pace was a crawl due to the crowds. Took a tenth of a mile before we could start running faster than 10 min/mi pace. Second half of the race was on a dirt rail trail which was lovely. Perfect start to our Thanksgiving day, running with friends and family. This was also the first race Ella and Bill have done.
