Member 11 Westwego |  Subject: Sandestin TriathlonAnyone doing the Sandestin Tri on August 20th? It will be my first. Yesterday I tried to swim in Grand Isle and got my (you know what) handed to me. I hope the Gulf is not that rough in Florida. Need to get more open water swim time in. Anyone know where to swim open water in New Orleans? |

I will have to try this place out. I just found the older post about swimming at the Lake and hope to make it out there some time when the group is out there. I am just starting to get used to swimming and would feel better with others around. |

Vibrio Vulnificus and it can happen in any of our coastal waters this time of year. A good friend of mine is a surgeon and had to skin an old woman from wrist to shoulder due to this stuff. |
