I didn't even know there was a tri in Cicero!  August is a bad month for me, but I'd like to be there if I can.

Yeah- it's on August 6th.  My wife did it last year- I wanted to, but had a herniated disk at the time.  I hope to this year.  Straight shot and short swim.  Ride and run are both very flat.  The start was VERY cool- American Legion raises the colors, taps and everything.  I believe this is the oldest continuous tri in Indiana.  This may not make sense, but it kind of had a 'small town feel' about it.  From what I could tell, lots of first timers.

That's the same day as the Columbus, IN sprint tri (16th annual for that one.)  It's a longer sprint with a 0.5 mile swim and 17.5 mile bike with a few rolling hills.  And Tri Indy is the next day.  Now I have 3 to chose from that weekend. . .

I think this year was the 32nd for Muncie, but not sure.  Anyway, I did this one a few years ago - good race.  Can't do it this year - day after State Fair Band Day....that's a brutal day!  Wipes me out for Tri-Indy too.

I agree, Cicero Tri is very cool.  The volunteers were great last year, the flag ceremony was very classy and running through the neighborhood with cheering spectators was super cool....I'm doing it again this year and probably will make this one a tradition...I have a few other friends I've talked into this one....I'd say go for it if you haven't!!
