I suck at running. Actually, didn't suck as badly in the fall, but now re-building post-injury. My mileage is up compared to last summer, abut I was down to 10:30/miles in November. Need to stick it out & keep running.

This is a cool little summer race - starts at 8:45 pm, running through town center. If I were more into beer & bands it'd be even better, but not when I have to get my 12-year-old race official home to bed!
What would you do differently?:

Not get hurt the preceding spring, such that my running & cardio work stopped
