Subject: Good Bike shops in Denver Area
Hey guys, I just moved to Denver, staying near Parker actually, where are the good bike shops? I have my bike with me but need to get it built back up and i'm looking to find a shop I can build a bit of a relationship with as far as going in consistently and getting my work down there. Any good recomendations let me know. If it helps I ride a Cervelo P3.

Cheers,
Mike

I've been happy with BikeSource at County Line & University (10 minutes west of Parker on C-470), although they are a Specialized/Orbea shop.

I live in Parker and have had good service with Treads off Parker Rd.    Just bought my entire family mountain bikes from them and got great care and service.     They've serviced my roadie a few times as well without complaint.

Not a fan of BikeSource.  Very arrogant from my experience.

In terms of getting your bike built, I'd strongly recommend the Aurora Bicycle Village.  Go see Jason in the service department and tell him Andy (with the Ceepo) sent you.  He did an awesome job building my Ceepo from frame up, took a lot of care and then when I needed adjustments always took care of me, super promptly.  Just bought him a 6pack/12 pack the first time.

I 2nd Treads in Parker off Parker and Mainstreet.  The Country Pedaler in Castle Rock is a great shop- Alex Stambuk is the owner and he won't steer you wrong.  The shop is also the epicenter of Castle Rock cycling.  We have our 6202 cycling meetings there, Altitude Multisport also does some group rides from there.  Bike Source is good, although I think the one @ Colorado and Yale is less uppity than the one in Highlands Ranch.  Good luck- welcome to the 'hood!

Strongly Against Bicycle Village: Multiple Locations

Littleton: Been in several times and it took 30-40 minutes before anyone even say hello. Told them I wasn't sure what bike I wanted, and they walked away. Another time had to go to parts department to get any help.

Aurora: called in June to reserve a carbon fiber bike for my A race. The same carbon fiber bike I had been talking to them about purchasing, but wanted to ride in the race for final verification. The week before I also rented a wetsuit for another race. At that time I confirmed that I was on the books for a carbon fiber bike and a wetsuit on the following Saturday. On the pickup day I go in, and they don't even have my name on the books for either item. Then they had the balls to offer me an aluminum rental for $10 more than the carbon was going to be. I will go out of my way to not use this company for anything.

Arvada: Told them I wanted to test ride a specific bike, and they told me I could only ride it around the store. No outside tests allowed. It wasn't like it was going to rain. It was a beautiful sunny day. No way am I going to buy a bike without spending at least two hours in the saddle first.

Save your money, eBay offers the same quality service for a lower price.
