Subject: What's wrong with my knee??? I've been to the doc and have an appt with a specialist, but I'm anxious so I thought maybe someone could enlighten me. A few months ago I was doing lunges and felt some pain in my knee. After that I began having trouble walking up stairs and ladders. (I'm in the roofing business so ladders and sloped roofs are common) I would feel a sharp pain "in" my knee. Not lateral or medial, but just "inside". When that happens, it seems that my brain immediately and involuntarily takes the weight off of that knee causing a feeling of buckling. Also, while climbing the ladder I would occasionally feel pain and then a bit later my knee would lock-up which was very painful and hard to get moving again (not real great on a roof). I stopped climbing ladders and getting on roofs for the last couple of months and haven't had any lock-ups for quite awhile and it seems to be getting better, but I still feel a slightly painful sensation occasionally on stairs. Any ideas on what I may have done? Thanks, Joe |
