Personally I'm suprised the mountain bike division is right in the middle as well. I'm doing MTB this year as my first tri and fully expected to have one of the last waves..

I'll be picking up a road after Chicago, and since I'll be seeing so many of those pass me I guess I'll use it as a research tool for my next bike

wave 39 - 8:50 start.  I would much rather be starting at 6:something.  Is it just me or is there absolutely no rhyme or reason to the way these waves are laid out?  Doesn't seem to make much sense to put the mountain bike division in the middle of the melee.  Shouldn't mountain bikes be one of the last waves?

I'm in the 8:50 start wave too. This will be my first triathlon in about 15 years. Can't wait to get this thing started.
