Swim portion closed?

Subject: Swim portion closed?

Hello all,

I'm doing my first tri this Sun and heard there were beach closures due to the sewage spill after the power outage we had.

 

Anyone hear if the swim portion was cancelled?  If so, how will this impact the rest of the race?

Thanks and good luck to all who will be competing this weekend.

Welcome to BT and good luck in your first race!

If there's a change to the swim course you should get info from the Race Director.  Keep an eye on the event website, and if it has a Facebook page you might check that out to.

They should also say something about it at packet pickup, and if they have course briefings in conjunction with that (which you should definitely attend anyway) you can ask the question.

Make sure your goggles dont leak, and DONT DRINK THE WATER!!!! Try to outride and outrun your stink. Avoid being behind other athletes throughout the race. I dont know what else to tell ya.
