Subject: TIMEX GPS & Treadmill

Morning,

Does anyone have a good way to track milage on a Timex Ironman GPS while running on a treadmill.  I am hopeful that there is a footpod or something else that is similar as opposed to trying to recall the stats as I cannot seem to remember to bring pen and paper to the treadmill.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

Timex just had a firmware upgrade for this watch, which now allows the use of foot pods. I would guess you can buy a Garmin foot pod and get it working.

Great news thanks for the input.  I will look for the update.  By chance have you tried the Garmin Footpod with the Timex Global Trainer?  If so, does it work pretty well, etc?

No I haven't, I'd like to get the foot pod eventually and try it out though.

As long as the foot pod is ANT+, it will work with the Timex.

Indeed, I've used the Garmin footpod without any issues with the TGT.  It's the smallest one out there currently, hence my favorite (a few others are OEM'ing it shortly - probably see that in a few weeks).
