Subject: longleaf triathlon bike portion
I am doing my first international distance triathlon in october - the Longleaf triathlon in New Port Richey, FL. I have been reading all I can about this race - puzzled by one comment that the biking route was "technical" at times. What does "technical" mean? What about this route is specifically technical and what do I do to prepare? Thanks!

Thank you so much. It helps to talk to someone who has been on the course. We live in Miami, so will only be up there on packet pick up day. Did plan to drive over to the park and take a look at the trail, an easy ride up and back to check it out. I'm a little bike nervous, because I haven't had my road bike long and had to minimally train due to a rotator cuff tear. Now I'm working hard to catch up, but I'm not yet comfortable with the feel and balance of my bike in different situations. Thank you again -

I did the sprint event of Longleaf this year.. and almost ran into one of the orange cones interspersed in the middle of the lanes, coz i got distracted looking at the runners. Yikes...
