Subject: Vineman anyone?

I am getting ready to attempt my first iron distance race next summer and have settled on Vineman (although the Ft. Collins race anouncement may change that). I am just putting out a feeler to see if there is any interest in finding a couple others that may want to go in with me on the buy 2 get 1 free entry. This may give me a little help in knowing someone else that is traing for the same race as me.Smile

Did you find a team yet?  We are looking for a 3rd person to take advantage of the deal.  We are hoping to register today, so let me know if you are interested!

I have raced and completed Ironman Canada, Lake Placid, CDA, Hawaii, Arizona and Boulder 5430 before I did Vineman in 2011.  My new favorite race.  Screw Ironman.  We paid $217 and it was awesome.  They aren't as polished as Ironman but the wacky swim, the amazing bike course, and the brutally hilly run course are totally worth it.  Great fan support and awesome volunteers.  Get a place in Santa Rosa or Windsor if you can, makes life a whole lot easier.

Thanks for the info. I am really excited about this race. I still have not found anyone to go in on the 3 for 2 deal but even at $350 this sound like a good deal. I am waiting a little longer to see if I can find anyone else but will be singing up either way before New Years. I will be starting on the 30 week Be Iron Fit plan on 1/2/12. What a way to start the New Year. Oh-boy!!!Surprised
