Subject: Tell me of events, local to Pembroke, please
Do you know of any run, bike, swim, combo events, local to Pembroke, Pembrokeshire?

I am very much a beginner in every discipline so the shorter events will be challenging enough for me, but if you know of any, please let me know.

Today, I heard of a 5k fun-run in Neyland, starting in 10 hours time; guess who is working?

I've also heard there is a Triathlon every year in Fishguard, but I don't yet know when or how gruelling it might be -

Hi I'm in the Caerphilly area,
I use these web sites for my events. They cover most of the events between them. The pembroke tri was june 25th.

thanks for the links Hywel, I'll search thru' them for all they offer

will I be ready for a tri next june?
will I need a wet-suit?  [I guess the links will give me clues]
I'll definitely have to train better
Todays' endurance event was 8hours of stripping wood-chip wallpaper!

That's plenty of time to train for a sprint providing you are training.

The sites will tell u if you swim in a pool or open water. I've only done pool swims this year as i dont own a wetsuit. It's a long way to travel but Cardiff have a tri a tri in may, it's the one i started with last year. The pool swim is 400m.

I've been training for a year so not that far ahead of you.

though i wouldn't normally want to travel that far
i'm encouraged, and have sent an e-mail to [email protected] for advice etc.

now, i just have to work out how to arrive there before the start
my little car will need a roof rack,
if i can first get the gear-box fixed.

will you be there yourself?
