Subject: bike racks
Okay, I bought a bike, now I have to get it home. My husband has a jeep wrangler with a hitch so I thought I would purchase one to fit the hitch. Started looking on the internet today to get some ideas. There are more hitches out there than bikes!!!!! I really only need a two bike rack. Can someone give me their experiences with bike racks so I know which direction to take?

Thanks,
Evelyn

I bought a four place rack - it will really only do three comfortably. The key for me was that I needed a trailer hitch and then got a rack that had the ability to be lowered without removing the whole thing - giving me access to the back of the van. (or car or whatever).  My experience is that the trailer hitch mounted things are more stable. AND the last thing I want to do is put three or four bikes on the top of my car!
