Pre-race routine:

soft crap in Port a John, followed by light jog to start.
pre race food - two pieces of ciabatta toast, bannana, and red blue.

Comments:

Fast flat course. Had to pee the first mile, despite having just gone to the bathroom right before the start. The race was staggered start, which was awesome and I would highly recommend all large races start this way.

My heart rate was high from the start (170s) and I felt short of breath. Ovarall I think I went out a little too fast. By mile 8 I had to back it off a little because I was feeling my left hamstring on the verge of cramping up. Luckloy able to push through it and pick up the pace for the last two miles.

Event comments:

Excellent well organized race with over 21K. participants. Wave start really spaced out the race well. Would highly recommend this race to anyone. and will do it again next, unless I do the marathon.
