If it is close to tolerable water I will just go with the tri shorts .... if it is cold I will get a wet suit....

I know that I'm doing it and Boggs is doing it and we don't plan on using a wetsuit.  I know after Meat Pie and no wetsuit, anything is possible.  I think that most  folks do it without a wetsuit.  If you really want to know, go to the Lake Charles  Tri site and email the Race director Houston Jones.

As far as the race, it is a bare bones, but you will have a great time.

That Meat Pie weather was insane.... I don't think I have ever been that cold... I'm not sure if it was psychological or what but after jumping into that water I was very very very close to DNFing and swimming over to the river bank.

Also, I am sick and tired of being cold.  Training was bumming me out up until today because I was always cold.... oh well, I got it rough 'eh?

Good news! I was teetering on not doing this race and instead doing Holy Toledo but I came back to my senses and will do this race as planned. .... . You can all breathe a sign of relief now....
