Subject: Hello (again?!)
Hello ya'll. Im Colleen and I was brought here months ago by Aaron (JeepFleeb), who I guess is pretty famous on this site. I was lame before but now that I've entered the 21st century and have internet at home, I am actually getting on more, and more...and more. I feel like those monkeys in Space Odyssey 2001 when they finally realize the use of the bone. Enough about that, now about me- I started in the world of Tri's last year with Danskin. I joined Team Danskin Austin and became addicted. I did 4 tri's my first year and a very hard, though fun, metric century ride. I am lucky to have very supportive parents and a boyfriend who mails me good workout snacks while im training. I will do my first olympic tri this season and am currently in a great swim clinic program with Texas Iron. I also, which I am extremely proud of, will be a workout leader for Team Danskin this season. I am very touched that my coach asked me to do it only after a year. It is such an honor to be able to help out others as they step into the tri world. I love what tri's do for me. I love the training, the dedication, the payoff (getting to my goals) which only leads to more challenges (more training and more tris). This is a gift I gave myself by taking that first step to sign up- I had no idea how much it would really give me.

Thanks for all of the support everyone has given me so far- it makes me want to get behind all the others here!

Welcome to the group.  You know you're in crazy wing of the forum if you are hanging out with Aaron and Andrew and company.   There are some sane people on this site too.  Just joking.  Aaron is a really amazing person and a great testament to the power of endurance exercise to transform a person completely.

Have fun.  Post early and post often.
