I am shopping for aerobars that would be best for road bikes as many on the market are tri-bike worthy only.

Please look at the link below and let me know what you think. I believe the shortness and shape of them make them road worthy, plus it mentions that tour de france racers have used them...isnt this what I would need if I absolutely want to try aerobars on my road bike.?

I also looked at the carbon Profile GT but they are nealry double the price and are actually heavier than the one's above.

Thanks for your help

Have you taken a look at the aluminium Profile GT? Not that much heavier than the Carbon (most of the weight is in the clamp anyway) and if you take the pads off and just put some padding on the handlebars you can get the weight right down.

They're not terribly aero but better than just on the drops (I think) and great just to try and get balanced etc on the bars.

Not sure how much they are, I got mine of eBay.

I looked at those too. I just liked the look of the oval concepts brand and they seem to look a little less bulky. Price wise they are a little more than the profile aluminium GT but still much less than the carbon version. My model is about $20 more than the profiles

thanks for the tip

I got the CGT Jammers. The Carbon fiber bars are great. Very comfortable. A lot better than my old profile design aerobars.

Those Ovals should work well for a road bike. I had Profile Jammers on my road bike which had a similar shape to the Ovals and it was very comfortable.
