Pre-race routine:

What a great location! They had the start right next to a Panera which was OPEN! And plenty of porta-potties, gotta love all that.
Event warmup:

Stand around trying to help my friend find her babysitter so she could hand off the kids and run.

Comments:

I had the biggest grin on my face the whole way. This was an awesome race and will be on my plan every year. In contrast to the Disney Half the year before, this one takes the cake. What a great organization, well-planned and stocked (for the most part) and happy kind volunteers. Just my kind of race.
What would you do differently?:

Well, maybe train more before hand!

Warm down:

I was too tired and cold for the free beer, and they were out of bagels :-( I walked around with DH and DS then headed home for a ahower and nap.

Congrats on your finish here too!!! How did you like the cobblestones in the last mile??? Nothing like giant blocks of wobble concrete to run on! However, I will probably do it again because the race management was excellent, crowd support was awesome, and it was probably one of the most enjoyable races I have ever run!
