Had trouble at about 2 minutes after being kicked by idiot doing back stroke. Started hyperventilating, lost composure. Did sidestroke, talked to myself to calm down and get back into rythym. After that everything went as planned. Last leg of swim very stron.

Nothing.

Comments:

Had side stitch first 2 miles. At mile 4 I felt great and starting to run a good pace. Both calves started cramping badly. I could run about 50 yards before cramps and then walk. Did this for the next 8-9 miles. Last mile on soft dirt & sand. Ironically, my legs were ok on this.

Had a lot of energy, but was frustrated with the cramps. In spite of the heat I felt good.
What would you do differently?:

Don't know.
Post race
Warm down:

Walking, drinking water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Leg cramps. Inability to run the last 3 weeks of training due to muscle strain in right calf. Loss of 3 weeks training due to bicycle crash.
