I'll most likely join as well for the Olympic distance. Haven't done this specific Red Bank Tri race before, so looking forward to it. Trying to get some of my friends who would be first timers to join

I did the race last year. It's put together by the Sandy Hookers Tri Club. I thought it was very well organized for a first time race. Water was 65ish and calm (river). Rolling hills, parks, farms, residential neigborhoods for the bike course. Run had a tiny stretch trail. Transition area is right behind a hospital, just in case ... Smile.

Thanks for the insight. Now I just have to wait until mid January when my bosses schedule their staff meetings, then I'll know my major travel weeks, then I can let the race registrations begin!

I raced in the Red Bank Tri last along with a handful of people I coach. It was very well run and everyone enjoyed it. The race director, Doug Rice, knows what he's doing and puts on a number of races each year. Also, contrary to what one may think, the course isn't exactly flat and offers a varied terrain including a small stretch of the run on grass.
