Clemson Area Sunday (1/22) Ride

Member  5452    NC |  Subject: Clemson Area Sunday (1/22) RideI'm going to be in the area this weekend and hope to ride Sunday (1/22) morning around 9am or so - weather permitting. Anyone in the area interested in joining me? I'm looking to do around 17-18mph for probably 30 miles. I usually do a 11 mile loop starting at the President's House, but I'm open to new routes. If so, shoot me a PM. Thanks.

I'll probably shoot for 40 miles or so depending on my need to get back to relieve the grandparents watching my kids. I usually average about 18mph or so. So, if you're slower, I more than willing to ride with you. If your faster, I'm more than willing to suffer. Right now I'm thinking about Saturday morning about 9am. Here's a cue sheet for the loop. FWIW, that loop that you're doing is very similar to the route for the Clemson sprint tri in May except the course follows Perimeter road around the back of campus to avoid the lights and stop signs. I love riding by the airport and having the view of Whiteside and the rest of the blueridge. |

I had a great ride out to Musser Farm in Friendship, but that backpack had some serious drag on it. I had a great day at work also, turned out to be a really nice day, hope you had a good ride. I'd really like to go out riding with you next time you are around. I'll talk with the bike team and find out some of their favorite rides to mix it up a little. Are you thinking of doing the Clemson Tri? |

Weather was perfect and just as the wind started to pick up, the young ladies started to appear on campus making the slow pedal past Bowman Field all the more enjoyable. I'm going to miss the Clemson race this year due to kid's soccer, but I'll post up next time I'm in town for a ride. Good to see you out there as you blew past me on Old Cherry.
