Subject: Clemson Area Sunday (1/22) Ride

I'm going to be in the area this weekend and hope to ride Sunday (1/22) morning around 9am or so - weather permitting.  Anyone in the area interested in joining me?  I'm looking to do around 17-18mph for probably 30 miles.  I usually do a 11 mile loop starting at the President's House, but I'm open to new routes.  If so, shoot me a PM.  Thanks.

I ended up bagging the trip entirely.

If you are ever in the Clemson area again PM me. I'd be up for a ride. I didn't see your post earlier because I'm still finding my way around this website.

coolgenes, I shot you a PM.  I'm going to be back the weekend of March 9-11 and I'm looking to ride early either Saturday or Sunday.  I would love to have some company if anyone is interested.

I am a newb...but in decent shape.  Will be coming off a marathon on the 4th, but back in town (Greenville) Thursday, so if you are looking for more than one or two I might be interested in joining you Saturday or Sunday.  What pace and how long?  I won't join you if I think I will slow you down.

Yeah, man.  I do a 11 mile loop starting from the Presidents House, so you could do as many loops as you like.  I'll probably shoot for 40 miles or so depending on my need to get back to relieve the grandparents watching my kids.  I usually average about 18mph or so.  So, if you're slower, I more than willing to ride with you.  If your faster, I'm more than willing to suffer.  Right now I'm thinking about Saturday morning about 9am.

Here's a cue sheet for the loop.  I think it overlaps some of the Clemson Triathlon course.

93/Cherry (President's House)
Down Cherry
R Old Cherry
R JP Stevens
L Shiloh
R Airport
L Seneca Creek
R Pendleton/93
Straight thru town to start

Sounds good.  Let me see how torn up I am after Sunday and I will get back to you next week.  Hope it works out, sounds like fun.

I'd like to join too, but unfortunately I'll be out of town that weekend. FWIW, that loop that you're doing is very similar to the route for the Clemson sprint tri in May except the course follows Perimeter road around the back of campus to avoid the lights and stop signs. I love riding by the airport and having the view of Whiteside and the rest of the blueridge.

Alrighty, I'm still planning on riding at some point this weekend (3/10-11), but the weather is looking pretty sketchy.  I'm going to try to stay flexible between Saturday and Sunday, depending on the weather.

As luck would have it, there are no stairs on this route.

Saturday forecast is starting to look downright perfect.  I'm planning on 9am by the President's House on Cherry Road.  Black Acura with bike rack.  If anyone is interested, I'll see you there.

Hey, it was great to see you Saturday. I had a great ride out to Musser Farm in Friendship, but that backpack had some serious drag on it. I had a great day at work also, turned out to be a really nice day, hope you had a good ride. I'd really like to go out riding with you next time you are around. I'll talk with the bike team and find out some of their favorite rides to mix it up a little. Are you thinking of doing the Clemson Tri?

Ride was great.  Weather was perfect and just as the wind started to pick up, the young ladies started to appear on campus making the slow pedal past Bowman Field all the more enjoyable.  I'm going to miss the Clemson race this year due to kid's soccer, but I'll post up next time I'm in town for a ride.  Good to see you out there as you blew past me on Old Cherry.
