Basically the compression stuff will be tighter and tend to have some elastic type material support around the major muscle groups and through the core area mostly in tri stuff, lower back support, glutes, quads, tri suits in peticular won't have much differance in the upper body at all over non compression stuff, most of the support is thru the core. I use a lot of CWX and 2XU compression stuff and really like it, especially when running distances. IT is supposed to reduce muscle fatigue does it work well who knows...???

Go with the regular tri-suit for more comfort. If you are a pro and someone is sponsoring compression gear for you, that would be different.

Pros don't worry that much about comfort. Faris Al Sultan is an amazing pro ironman and he races in a speedo. Reminds me of the good old days.
