Pre-race routine:

I met several friends about an hour before the race then went for a nice easy warm up run.
Event warmup:

I ran an easy 1.5 miles with a group of 7 friends through downtown Littleton.

Comments:

Since I was training through this race I mainly looked at this as a fast training run for the CO Marathon in three weeks. It was nice up until the wind picked up at mile 8 then I slowed some and just took the last miles at a good steady pace.
What would you do differently?:

I went out too fast this morning. At the 6 mile mark I was 3 seconds per mile under my PR but couldn't keep the pace after about 6.5 miles.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Running a HM in the middle of Marathon Training. One of these days I want to actually target a HM as an "A" race and see what I can do.
