very difficult! I was in the second row, had a good hole in front of me, and towards the right side. first 5 strokes ok then all hell broke loose over and around me. I could not find anyplace to swim in. People were clawing over me around me kicking me, hitting me, I got a couple mouthfuls of water and had to pull up, tried to navigate around it but they kept coming, got out of some of it by rounding the first buoy, had a clear shot for a while then nearing the next buoy, I got trapped into the inside and got in a lot of traffic again. after rounding that buoy, there was no more problem, so I kept going, on the wrong tangent, I had to swim back, by that time I notice white hats going by me...
What would you do differently?:

need to become more powerful, and get some explosiveness so I can power away from the attacks. Try further to either side for the start next time. Try to be a little more aggressive, I was very timid just looking for the holes or draft to swim in.

too much congestion, slowed down for the guy falling off in front of me but didn't get a good pedal as I was getting on and nearly landed in the ditch with him.
What would you do differently?:

get a better running start. rush a little more, I was pretty gentle with everything, could have been much faster. did put the sock on wrong first and had to take off and turn over.

I never felt a single hill! I was so worried about passing and not blocking that I just kept going only keep going. I really zoned out. I only got passed once or twice. I passed lots of people, just kept going, when I got to the Airport road I slowed down a bit because I was getting worried that I was going out too fast. In hindsight I should have hammered it much harder the entire way.
What would you do differently?:

In hindsight I should have hammered it much harder the entire way. Should have taken the corners tighter, Gone really hard into the Y, lost some time there to the guy in front of me.

just speed through it a little faster, was to careful. Learn to ride in with feet on top of shoes

got behind some slower people on the bridge and followed them too far before going around because I wasn't sure of myself. powered up the dike felt good. Needed to hammer more on the flat parts but was just too in the zone
What would you do differently?:

stick to the plan better, push hard downhill and on flats, wear myself out. Kick harder at the end
