Subject: swimming in the western/northwestern burbs

After waiting 45 minutes to get into the LTF pool in Schaumburg last night I wonder if there is a better option. 

1) Right now I am trying to swim Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Friday is not that that hard to get in.

Trouble if I can not get there usually until 6:00 to 6:15 because of work and monday have have water aeroblics from 6 to 7 and at 7 the lanes that were open are used by a kids for swimming and the 3 newly opened lanes have a line.

2) Tuesday and Thursday do not work well because of my running schedule.

I hate to start swimming around 8 because I get home so late and I rather not wait all that long.

There should be a few LA Fitness gyms in that area. I haven't been, so don't know how good the pools are at those particular facilities.

u say western burbs, but live in Lake Zurich. Do u work in the western burbs. I might have some options if that is the case

I've never had to wait long @ LTF in Warrenville.  Of course, I'm from the old school where you split a lane, and if someone is ignoring me waiting on deck I'll "kindly" drop into their lane to remind them.

yeah I used to live in the Warrenville pool.  Trouble is its about 10 miles out of my way but I can double check.  I think bloomingdale is still closer for me.

Downers grove masters has a good group that I train with occasionally. They start early and if u don't mind sharing a lane it is OK. The water is normally a little warmer for myvtaste. I have some guest passes if u want to go try out let me know.

I work out at HealthTrack-- I-355 and Roosevelt Road.  There's 5 lanes and I can usually get my own lane but occasionally share- but have never waited.  Then there's a Master's Program at LifeStart in Lisle.  Let me know if you want to try out HealthTrack.  Would be happy to bring you as a guest.

What about the CORE in Lemont?  If you are close to 355 it's @ 127th and 355.  Does the Edward Health and Fitness in Woodridge have a pool?
