I'll be heading up to Portsmouth for a wedding this weekend and will be there all weekend.  Was wondering if there were any good riding or running routes in the area, people would suggest or better yet any group rides that I could jump on with.  I'd prefer not to get lost before my friends wedding.

If it is Portsmouth, VA there are group rides with Cycle Classics in Old Towne Portsmouth. On Saturday, they will be having a breakaway ride leaving the dismal swamp and riding into NC. That ride leaves @ 7:30, I think. Will need to confirm that with our team captain. Can let you know if interested. Sunday rides leave at 4 p.m. and leaves at the shop and bikes all around Portsmouth.

Nope Portsmouth, NH.  Hence posting this in the NH Forum, thanks though I would be all about that ride if I was heading there.

The Trek Store in Portsmouth (http://trekportsmouth.com/about/group-ride-schedule-pg153.htm) has group rides Saturday mornings at 8:00 am.

If you were a few miles to the west (I live in Concord, NH) I could give you some more info, but the best I can offer is to reach out to the VERY helpful folks over at Runner's Alley, which is THE local running shop.  I have seen several running groups meet there in the past.  Check them out at http://www.runnersalley.com/.
