Swim
Comments: Still need to work on keeping my head down and pulling. Spent last two pool sessions with 500m warm-up, the wall is a crutch. What would you do differently?: Freestyle the whole swim! Transition 1
Comments: Hit stop on the Garmin at swim in instead of lap button. What would you do differently?: Not dry off or drink from bottle. Bike
Comments: Was working pretty good pace first 1/3, need to keep the intensity level up. Felt like I finished strong. First time for a flying dismount, not planned, just happened. Glad I didn't fall on my face in front of 100's of people! What would you do differently?: Train harder, ride faster. Goal speed was 20+ Transition 2
Comments: Had problems getting bike on the rack. Took drink from bottle before heading out on run. What would you do differently?: Mark end of rack. Drink more on bike. Run
Comments: Pretty good run, goal was < 9:00/mi. Used Dave Shaw's run tips from the clinic, lean forward and use body weight. Post race
Warm down: Ice bag on head, then jumped in the ice bath for about 5 mins. Really helped to lower core temp. Head to Cy-Tri tent for post-race carbs (Shiner Bock) and BS with friends. What limited your ability to perform faster: Get better on swim and more bike training. Run is improving. Event comments: OUM Prod always puts on a good race. Last updated: 2011-11-16 12:00 AM

Usual, protein drink followed by sports drink, gel about 20 minutes before start. Set up transition, visit with friends, hit the port-a-can then head to the start.
Jog in place in transition, didn't get in the water before they started clearing the start.
