Swam pretty well, although we had to navigate through the slower oly swimmers finishing their 2nd lap. Did pretty good for having to do a lot of sighting not to run into people.

Took me the better part of 10min to get anywhere near FTP. I don't quite know how people hit an IF of 1.05 on rolling courses.

Anyway, thought I biked OK. Turns out (based on my relative split) that I biked really well.
What would you do differently?:

Underperformed just a little bit on the run. Thankfully a 16 yr old ran me down 1 mi in. I grabbed his heels for the remainder of the run. Passed one 2 people and the rest of it felt like it was just me and him. He nailed it to the finish, I coasted in...
What would you do differently?:

Check my HR. I was 3-4 bpm lower that my normal threshold for this distance run. That translates into 20-30s over 3 miles for me.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much. Maybe practice some swim to bike bricks. I'm not executing my sprint bikes very well.

Event comments:

Still love this race despite the rough roads. Might do the oly next year. It was great to meet Pete and Carl from BT and see them perform very well!
