Total Time = 1h 02m 45s
Overall Rank = 85/158
Age Group = 25-29
Age Group Rank = 11/13
Pre-race routine:

Bagel with PB and some coffee.
Event warmup:

My warm-up was limited due to the valve on my tube breaking while pumping up my tires upon arrival. It took me a bit longer to change due to tiredness. Ended up just biking out of transition and back then running out of transition and back.
Swim
  • 06m 37s
  • 300 yards
  • 02m 13s / 100 yards
Comments:

My time chip didn't record my device for some reason but my watch put me around 6:37 if i remember correctly. I had the entire lane to myself since i started towards the back and didn't have anyone wacking me in the feet.
What would you do differently?:

Wish I would of pushed it harder on the swim. I did a practice lap before so I was a bit cold waiting in line for it to start. Next time i'll bring a towel with me or something to stay warm or just HTFU.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Time chip misssed this as well, but i think it was around 1:20. I was really happy with my transition time. I ride sockless with tri bike shoes it was pretty much just me putting number belt, helmet, and shoes on and off! Someone tried talking to me in T1 but i just ignored them.
Bike
  • 23m 21s
  • 6 miles
  • 15.42 mile/hr
Comments:

Biking is my strongest in these events. I ride an old school 96 specialized m2 roadie and it serves me well. I saw a few flats on the course and due to the UT game beforehand there was some liter throughout the course. I felt like it could of been better marked as in some places the local volunteer sorority girls seemed a bit tired and lax with their waving of directions.
What would you do differently?:

I got lazy on lap one and took it easy. I'm still trying to figure out pace and what not. So i could of upped it a bit more.
Transition 2
  • 01m 34s
Comments:

I took this a bit slower. Did a quick stretch and drank some poweraid.
Run
  • 29m 37s
  • 3 miles
  • 09m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

This was a fun run. Lots of stuff to look at and some of the volunteers put extra effort into their encouragement.
What would you do differently?:

Gotta run up them hills quicker!
Post race
Warm down:

Drank water, ate bagels

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Still new to triathlon and not an overall strong runner.
