Run
Comments: The course is flat and fast. Faded slightly over the course of the run because I went out pretty fast. Transition 1
Comments: Smooth transition. What would you do differently?: Only thing to possibly change would be learning to leave the bike shoes attached to the bike and execute a flying mount. Bike
Comments: I'm used to more traffic on the bike course. Duathletes were sent off first and the top 3 elite sprint triathlon athletes didn't catch me on the bike until the last couple of miles. Happy with my progress as I was a minute faster than earlier this year on the same course. What would you do differently?: Need to continue working on hill intervals. Transition 2
Comments: Transition went very smooth. What would you do differently?: Need to learn to dismount with my shoes still connected to the pedals. Run
Comments: My back was stiff coming off of the bike. Passed an age group competitor just after the 1 mile mark. Got stronger as the run went on and closed in a sprint holding off the guy I passed by 4 seconds to take 2nd in my age group. What would you do differently?: My HR data shows that i could have pushed the run harder. I feel like I could have gone at least 1 minute faster. Post race

Up at 5:00 AM and ate a clif bar, banana and Gatorade. Out the door at 6:00 and arrived at Deer Creek at 7:00. Didn't get to the venue in time to get the end rack spot. Took a gel and small amount of Gatorade during the national anthem.
5 minute jog 45 minutes before the scheduled start.
