Comments: I ran the first 27 miles on my own, then caught up to wifey who was doing the 25k at around mile 27.5-28. I decided to finish with her as she hurt her knee falling down one of the steep descents. So the last 3-4 miles were a walk, but it felt great to stretch the legs. This was just a training day for me, so it was just right. What would you do differently?: I did screw up a bit and didn't stop at the aid station at the end of each loop. I actually didn't know it was there. So I was only stopping at one aid station in the middle of the course, every 7.6 miles or so. It was ok until the last 2 loops, and it caught up to me as I was running out of h2o in my handheld. Post race
Event comments: Great post race food. As always, Joe puts on the best events at Tejas Trails. I'll do every one of them I can from now on. Last updated: 2012-10-08 12:00 AM

Drove about 2 hours to the race, so woke up at about 3:30, was on the road by 4 and got there at 6. Start was at 7. Warmup was mostly spent in the car staying warm as it was ~40 degrees out.
