Pre-race routine:

Not much this morning. I was at Camp till 8 am this morning and had to rush back to get to the race on time. I ate breakfast on the way and changed when I got home. Then like a gypsy I left again to go to the race.
Event warmup:

Dad and I walked from the parking lot to the start line!!!! What a warm-up! Why would we warm up with lots of running for a 2 miler?

Comments:

Well, first off, this wasn't a time chip race so my time is based off of when I started and stopped my watch. Second of all because there was no chips I don't have any ranking. There was a lot of people behind me so that is really good. And oh yea!!!!! I had my first race with miles under 10:00 and not only that, I haven't run a solid two miles yet and I did it today!!!!!!!!!!!! I just kept on telling myself I have got to do this!!!
What would you do differently?:

Get some more sleep but that is more camps fault than mine. I love you campers!!
Post race
Warm down:

I just kept walking. They had us finish into two corals based on female and male and because of that I couldn't keep walking so I kicked my legs around a bit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much. This race was greta considering I am tired and it was hilly!

Event comments:

The race wasn't very organized and once you finished water was hard to find. There was a lot of volunteers at the water stops but there was too many water stops. I didn't drink at all because it wasn't hot enough for me to feel it was even worth it. It was fun but not the best race I have been to before!
