I had the awseome experince of volunteering for the gator half last year I have volunteered at many other events where your cattled into a specific job where your in one place all day this event was such a breath of fresh air I got there early and helped unload a truck, from there got to do body markng then omto a canoe for swim support then off to bike dismount followed by a water station!! So yes I got to see all the action from the fronrt row without a vip pass I felt like vip by the way I was treated and the stuffed burgers for the athletes and volunteers were to die for OMG !!!No I dont work for the rd promoting events but I felt like I had to share my experience with yall will I volunteer again this year ? Yes for 2 reasons, 1. Due to the fact that I had a great.time last year 2. Im way too unmotivated to commit to the training Btw the swim course is awesome!!! The lake swim was wet suit legal clear and calm .

This is a well run race at an attractive price. The RD seems very involved and IMO has put the race assets in the appropriate places while keeping the costs to the participant low. The swim had great water conditions last year. The was well supported with law enforcement…the rain sucked last year, but that’s out of the RD’s control. The run was well supported with volunteers. If you’re looking for an early season race, keep this in mind.

Any numbers yet for the patriot? How many registered yet? Interested in doing series - as a cop I know it will be a rewarding event for our peacekeepers and military personnel.

I noticed the 9/8 race in Fort Pierce is noted as the series championship.  Is there some some type of qualification needed or can anyone race?  I may be in the area in September visiting family and would be interested in racing that weekend.  Thanks!
