Comments: When I entered to corral people were already packed like sardines. I could to get close to the 3:15 group that I wanted to start with and it took me close to 3 miles to get to it. I went by and felt great so I kept at my pace. Once I got into a grove I decided to shoot for a Boston qualifier. I know I have the speed, but I always question my weight to hold me back at the back end of a long race. I was around 220 before the race because I did to give up eating and drinking (sanity for being a elementary). I felt real good through out the race with, only little pain my hamstrings and labored breathing at the end. I knew my physical strength was fine, so I had to concentrate on my mental. It get real lonely on a 2 loop course when there is no other runners around. What would you do differently?: I am so glad I ran with my hand held bottle with a pocket on it. I was able to have Gatorade in it along with 5 gels. If I would have know they were not going to have Gatorade on the second loop I would have drank water a stops before I ran out. I do feel sorry for the people who were depending on course nutrition when they only had 2 places for gels and no Gatorade on the second loop. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: I was happy Event comments: It would have been a train wreck if it was a higher temp today. No. Gatorade and only 2 gel stations could have ended bad for many people who did to carry ther own nutrition Last updated: 2013-03-02 12:00 AM
