I always wore swedes as a swimmer and honestly did in tri because goggles that interfere with my peripheral vision drive me bonkers and I have a fairly narrow nosebridge. I got to talking with a TYR rep who was a former swimmer at IM Cali expo and she recommended I try the TYR Special Ops. I know obvious bias, but they are fantastic goggles. I can wear in pool and OWS. The fit well on my face (have worn junior goggles in the past as well) and good peripheral vision.

I am so glad you posted this. My goggles fit fine- but the huge eye bags all day after swimming in them suck.

I will be checking out some of these recommendations.

Ah, raccoon eyes  Lots of my teammates get them.  Kind of horrifying and amusing all at the same time.  You're either going to have them and a good seal, or water leaking into the Goggles.  Try the children's goggles, though, I used to get headaches for having the goggles too tight to keep water from getting in and the children's goggles give me no issue

Tried out the TYR Ractech goggles. After 45 minutes of wearing them I practically looked like I had two black eyes, and the bags under my eyes were horrible. Swollen for HOURS.

My old school Speedo Pro's that sat OUTSIDE the eye socket with cushions around the rim didn't do this to my eyes. Ugh.

Ordered more goggles. Trying the women's Aqua Sphere mask-looking models next.

PS- the Speedo Relay's were cr@p. Fogged up within a couple of seconds of wearing them and they were so tiny they were hard to see out of. FAIL.

I am nearing 58 year old, male.  Unless I am mistaken, I use the Tyr Swimples, kid's. They fit on the inside of my eye-socket - such that there it little tension and less leakage.  For some reason I don't use the Tyr model with the whale emblazoned in the goggles.  I have been told I have beady eyes. Will be shopping for tinted models in the future - due to OWS.
