This is similar to a conversation I had with a friend of mine contemplating dropping a wad of cash on a guitar, even though he'd only been playing for about a year.

Keep in mind this friend has an extra '0' on his W2 in comparison to mine.

I told him that he'd put in the work to be in a position to buy a really nice guitar, even though it wasn't in playing, but in his professional life.  And that nobody would think less of him for having it as opposed to something significantly less expensive.  So buy it and play the frets off of it and enjoy it.

No way. Just means you have more disposable income than most...and that is a good problem to have.

Every time I see a bike like that it makes me want to do more tris to justify it.  (I spend most of my time on a mountain bike.

They are just the coolest looking bikes ever. 

I say go for it.
