Subject: Culpepper Sprint triathlon
Hey folks, are any of you signed up for this on August 6th?

I'd like to bike the course on Sunday morning, but I'm not familiar with the area. Is this a pretty safe course?

I'm signed up and did it last year. The bike course is on narrow roads through country neighborhoods with a lot of rolling hills.

I felt perfectly safe during the race; but, would be careful if biking alone particularly as you crest a hill. Not sure how aware of bikers the local traffic is on a non race day.

the roads are pretty quiet (IMO).  I rode the course twice before the race last year and really didn't see too much traffic.  That's not to say some idiot might not be out there the day you ride, but I wouldn't be overly concerned with it.
