Subject: Maintain half marathon fitness
I just completed my first half marathon. As i move focus to triathlon for the summer months, what is a good way to maintain half marathon fitness? one limiter i had was on speed. Would it be wise to add in soem interval work for one workout and do a long workout of 6 miles or so?

I may decide to run another half marathon in late fall and would like to improve my time and would like to maintian perofrmance through summer if possible.

without knowing what your workout volume was going into the HM i can't really say.  if your run fitness is a priority then try to add swim/bike to what you are already doing.  intervals are always good if you can handle the stress, but the length of the interval would depend on what type of triathlons you want to do.

Are your logs up to date?  If so I would say one way would to be actually run on a consistent basis, don't even worry about intervals yet.  Get your mileage up
