Hello, peeps. If weather holds up and I can get away this Sun. morning (we are hosting a French student and he'll be coming in this Friday eve), I am planning on an IM WI one-looper bike ride this coming Sunday, 5/12/2013. I want to leave by 7:30 am. (Yes, Sunshine, 7:30 am, so that people aren't friggin' freezin' their extremities   starting at the Verona B.P. gas station (possibly have to park in Gray's Tied House parking lot). No drop.

I might make it up there. It is mother's day however and it would probably erk my wife off a little if I was up in Madison for 3/4 of the day. I better do a wait and see approach.

Still looking like it will be a go. I'm definitely wearing gloves, long-sleeves, and polypropylene pants to stay warm. See you by the B.P. before 7:30 am.

Timber Lane. Once you climb Old Sauk Pass and roll down the other side, I live next to the big open cornfield on the West Side of the road overlooking Shoveler's Sink. I'm revising my start time so that the temperature can climb above freezing.

Thanks to the Cowdy boys and triple C (Chad, Cowdy cousin), the ride went well, 'cept for the friggin' above-freezing temps with the effin' blowin' wind - even wearing the gloves and Donkai bike shoe covers didn't keep the extremities warm enough for the first 15+ miles to Mount Horeb. Brrrrrrrrrr.

Rode a modified version of the loop today and boy was it cold. Agreed with the extremities bit but my feet never thawed out until 15 minutes after i was in the car
