where did all the off road races go???

I've been thinking the same thing.  Wasn't there also an officiall Xterra race at Afton or am I crazy?  I'd love to do one.  Trail running's the cat's meow!

yup, afton ambush. maybe it will come back next year? there are still lots of mtb races at afton, and the 24 hrs of afton (which is crazy - bill has done it several times on a team), but no tris. grumble. i LOOOOOVE trail running, and my first bike love was mountain biking, so i have been planning on doing one since my first season, and now they're all gone!

you're doing big woods for sure? awesome race! it was my first 1/2 marathon and i'm hoping to do it again this year.

i was hoping to find one i wouldn't have to travel to...but i did the fat tire fest years ago, so it would be fun to revisit that area. suppose we could camp, which would be better than a hotel. i get tense staying in hotels.

okay, marking that weekend off for next year. brewhouse, then fat tire.
