road bike rental??

Hi everyone! Does anyone know where in San Diego or LA I can rent a road bike for my tri? I'm flying from PA to CA for my first Olympic (Camp Pendleton International). As of now, I'm planning to fly out with my bike. I thought it might be possible to minimize cost and avoid the hassle/time of breaking it down, trusting airline frieght handlers, building it up, etc. Most places I've seen online only rent out mountain bikes and those beach cruisers. Any suggestions or cost estimations?
