Hero Cape Cod

How did this race go? I was thinking of signing up for this year.

Last year was the first for the sprint distance, and the olympic started the year prior.

I did the sprint last year and really enjoyed it. Pond swim, bike course was partly on public roads, and partly on the service roads on the base; very flat once you're on base. Run was an out and back on local roads.

The field was pretty small, but the sprint and Olympic were on the same course so it felt bigger than it was. No complaints about the organization. As was mentioned, it's the same group that does Cohasset. Parking was not at transition, so be prepared to pack light and bike in.

I was looking into this for 2015 also. I did the Patriot half-iron in 2014, and then dedicated the rest of the year to ultra-running. Looking to get back into 2 or 3 sprint races this summer. Change things up a little....

I'm signed up for the Olympic, my May 17th Tewksbury Sprint race was cancelled so Hero cape is looking to be my first this season ... I almost want to sign up for a sprint before HCC just to get into the swing of things...

Was hit by a car on Wed while on the bike and dislocated my shoulder, its gonna be a slow swim for me.
