Highline Lake is beautiful and calm, nothing like biking through miles of farm lands, & the off road trail is smooth & fast. Camping is available & downtown Fruita has all your immediate needs. | New user 51 | Subject: RE: Desert Edge Triathlon Our new September date should help with the cold. The last water temp I received was 76 - 78 degrees, depending on location. A wetsuit will be perfect for Highline Lake, the fields are an amazing green after all the rain this summer, & the trails are in epic shape for running.
