Veteran  485   Elmira, ON |  Subject: Need Some Help: My Garmin Forerunner 210 & HR Monitor Is on The FritzThe last couple times I've been using my Garmin Forerunner 210 Ive been having issues with it: -The HR Monitor has not been working properly. I did an interval ride last night and it recorded my max HR at 73bpm...and didnt even acknowledge intervals, changes, etc. (The Forerunner has a chest strap monitor) -When uploading my results from Garmin Express to Strava, it showed a 43min. ride on Strava...but my Garmin watch correctly showed a 54min. ride on the mag trainer. I've never had an issue before. The Garmin watch is about 4 years old. I'm not even sure where to being trouble shooting. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to fix this? Is there a software issue with the Garmin? Do HR chest straps fail and need to get replaced periodically? Do I need to get the watch serviced? Who does this? Any help or direction greatly appreciated. |

Some Garmins can get corrupt files that really throw a kink in things. Here are some general guidelines on how do it: http://www.gpsnation.com/support/gps-factory-reset/garmin-forerunne... Be sure to back up any data that you would like to keep. |

Master 2406 Bellevue, WA | Subject: RE: Need Some Help: My Garmin Forerunner 210 & HR Monitor Is on The Fritz Usually when the Max HR is wrong it's because of a weak battery in the HR strap. I'm pretty sure that old unit has a user replaceable battery. |
