Subject: Yogurt whole or 0%
Good Morning
Lets start the year wtih a debate, Greek yogurt whole or zero percent. I have heard people comment pro and con for each. I am daily consumer of it, everyday about 4-6 ounces, 1/2 cup raw walnuts, 1/4 raw cashews and a couple Brazil nuts. Sometimes some Purley Elizabeth mix. Oh and 1 Tsb Sri Lanka Cinnamon.

But should it be whole mik....more Sat Fat or Zero percent, a chemical S*&^storm as I have heard it put.

I only eat Stonyfield, Wallaby and sometimes for a treat Siggit's

Often, when companies take fat out of a product, they replace it with a huge amount of sugar to make it palatable. I go whole whenever possible.

In the scope of things, whole yoghurt is not that high in fat... And if you read the ingredients and it doesn't look like a chemical experiment (which fat free usually does...), then it's a good choice.

You do need fat, just more of the good kind and less of the processed stuff.

Yup, any time manufacturers take out fat, they have to replace it with something, usually sugar. Also smart sourced (pasture raised, grass fed) full fat dairy has a ton of beneficial nutrients, all of which disappear once you take out the fat.
Fat is also satiating , so a full fat brand will fill you up and keep you satisfied longer, more consistent blood sugar levels which equals steady insulin response, so less cravings, and consistent energy.

Again, make sure it is a good sourced brand: organic, local or pasture raised/grass fed - to get all the benefits!

Siggi's fan here. I only eat Yogurt as a treat so I like the thickness of the Siggi's brand.

I am a plant eater so I keep my diary to a very low foot print. A few Siggi's a month and maybe an omelette or two per year. Perhaps some sour cream if I am at a restaurant. Other then that its no meat and no dairy, and my is still 20% body fat, lol

If I was eating yogurt on a daily basis, I would most likely go non-fat. I also enjoyed the Activia brand as well before I seriously cut dairy.
