Michael Jordan once said, "....republican buy shoes too". The number one rule of marketing is 'know your customers'. Pizsing off half of your customers is just bad business....and there was no call for it. I think when businesses go political they a make huge mistake. Just stay neutral and sell shoes and tee-shirts. Stock dropped from $82.17 to $79.85 since Tuesday. "the popular apparel brand had a net favorability rating of +69 prior to the Kaepernick ad. It’s now sitting at +35." |

Other than shoes, I don't think I've ever worn out a piece of Nike apparel, I just get tired of wearing it and buy something new. I'll be quietly de-logoing ( that's a real word ) the swoosh from my gear and looking for alternative brands. |

I wanted a couple of new polos with the Missouri emblem. I love Nike gear...it fits me well. The store was mostly Nike gear, but I bought Under Armor for the first time. I'm done with Nike. The gal working there told me that they have seen the same from most of their customers. |

So we have to grab the burger at In-n-Out and get those waffle fries things at Chickfila. Can't shop at Dick's, so it's over to Bass Pro shops to avoid buying Nike or UA. Being a political martyr is tiresome. |

Pro 15655 | Subject: RE: Nike Eh....there are plenty of places I don't go (wal-mart for example) or products I won't purchase.....for a varied number of reasons. I don't care about boycotts. I just care how I spend my money and what I'm willing to support. I haven't watched the NFL since they refused to acknowledge CTE....but the Kapernick deal is a good reason too. I don't go to the movie theater because I hate Hollywood. I'm happy not doing things or supporting or buying things I don't like. I don't really give a rats arse who cares or who doesn't. Getting old is good.....get off my lawn. I think I'll fire off an email to Under Armor letting them knwo how well their gear hides a gun......that sounds fun. |
