Nunchaku ban

Who know NY had a ban on nunchakus? How can the gubment ban two sticks connected by a short piece of rope or chain?

I've seen Jackie Chan use all sorts of common things as deadly weapons....

My son and I made brass knuckles this year using my forge and a smelt. It's was really just an excuse to make something cool with the forge/smelt. We got to discussing if the were 'legal' or not. Turns out they are not federally regulated but many states prohibit their purchase and/or possession. So let me ask this...if you were in a fight would you rather have a 6" pocket knife, brass knuckles, a baseball bat or a can of mace?
