Comments:

This is a virtual 5K for the Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter - I did two loops around my block which is 5K. I walked, because I am not in running shape.
Loop 1 - First .1 mile is straight up. I am pleasantly surprised that I am not out of breath already.
At the .5 mile point, I realize that at day 60(?) of the kids being out of school, parents in the neighborhood are letting them go feral. Understandable.
At .75 miles, I am in one of the culdesacs on the loop and there are two couples having a front yard happy hour across the street from each other. However, they are managing to block the sidewalk on both sides of the street. Detour into middle of street.
Uneventful .75 miles to the halfway point in front of my house - and I realize there are no water stops and I would like to speak to a manager about this. Then I realize I am the manager for this course. Oops.
Up hell hill again. Avoid tiny disease vectors.
Past the front yard happy hour again and two more couples have joined and now they're managing to block the sidewalks AND the street - detour into front yards. Sorry not sorry.
Hey! We're at 2 miles! Feeling great! Still some more hills!
2.5 miles - it's literally all flat and downhill from here, woohoo!
Hit the house and my fitbit, that LIAR, says I've only gone 2.92 miles.
Up hell hill one more time and back down, maneuvering around two families who think they are social distancing, but they are not.
3.11 - done.
What would you do differently?:

Not have a global pandemic, and take a water bottle.
Post race
Warm down:

Park butt on couch, drink icy cold Coke, write race report.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Being terribly out of shape.
