Sunny
Total Time = 21m 22s
Overall Rank = 100/1191
Age Group = 30-34 Male
Age Group Rank = 6/57
Pre-race routine:

Woke at 5:50. Ate banana, extra strength tylenol, water. Went to Dale's house and rode with Alicia, Megan, and him. Found our tent (Hurricane Andrew), got our chip, waited around.
Event warmup:

Stretched a little, took 5-drops creatine, jogged around Logan Circle as warmup to the starting line. Could not tell where the starting line was to start my watch.

Comments:

Started way too far back to get a good time. Probably could've shaved at least 30 seconds off time. Too many joggers in front of me. Ran with Dale until just past the turnaround, where I had to cut back a little. Only one person passed me then. I had a really fast sprint to finish.
Gun time was 21:51.
What would you do differently?:

Start up closer to front.
Post race
Warm down:

stretched a little, ate the free breakfast, and drank plenty of fluids.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

conditioning. Could not keep up pace I started out the entire distance.

Event comments:

Have chip but no chip time, only gun time. That really sux, since there was no clear start line for me to start my watch, and I have no accurate time for my first race ever!
